The Name Foundry is built and run by a small team, and we genuinely read everything that comes in. Whether you have a question, a request or a complaint, this is the place to send it, by the form below or directly at hello@thenamefoundry.com.
What people usually write about
- Suggest a generator. Want a name generator we do not have yet, a race, a creature, a place, a culture? Tell us the subject and roughly how the names should sound, and it goes on the list. A good chunk of the tools here started as a visitor's suggestion.
- Report a problem. Found a name that sounds wrong, a generator that misbehaves, a broken link or a typo? Let us know the page and what happened and we will fix it.
- Accessibility. If something is hard to use with a keyboard or a screen reader, please say so. We take it seriously, see our accessibility statement for what we already do.
- Using the names. Anything you generate is free to use in your games, stories, videos and other projects. If you have a question about that, the terms of use cover it, and you are welcome to ask.
- Business and press. For partnerships, advertising or media enquiries, pick "Business / other" below and include a line about who you are.
What to include
The more specific you are, the faster we can help. For a bug, the page address and your browser are gold. For a suggestion, an example or two of the kind of name you are after saves a lot of back-and-forth. There is no wrong way to write to us, but a little detail goes a long way.
When you will hear back
We read messages as they arrive and usually reply within a few days, though it can take a little longer at busy times. We will never pass your email to anyone else or add you to a mailing list, see the privacy policy for exactly how we handle it. You do not need an account to contact us, and you never will.
