Making a weapon sound legendary
One word, one promise
The greatest weapon names are a single compound that states what the blade does: Dawnbreaker, Widowmaker, Soulrender, Frostbite. Verb and noun fused into a threat or a vow.
Match the kind to the wielder
A paladin's blade and a warlock's dagger should not share a name. Set the kind, Heroic, Cruel, Arcane, Holy or Cursed, so the weapon suits the hand that holds it.
